During the summer of 2006 there were some very heavy rains in New Mexico. The small town of Escondida, just north of Socorro was hit very hard. I helped the sheriff’s department out and drove a deputy through the flood to assess the damage. I even made it on CNN. Here is a link to the CNN video. And another to the CNN story.
The Hells Gate obstacle on the Hells Revenge trail in Moab is pretty intense. There have been many vehicles that have rolled while attempting this. The long wheelbase of the Hummer(130 inches) and its wide stance helps it walk right up with no problems. This video was shot in 2004 at the Hummer Club event.
The Golden Spike trail in Moab, Utah. This is by far my favorite trail. Not only is it very scenic, but it is also quite challenging. The trail will take all day, so start early. The two times I have done it, it has taken at least 15 hours to get back to Moab.
This video is pretty crazy. Two open top Hummer H1’s battling it out with squirt guns in Moab, Utah. The video was shot at the Hummer Club event in 2004.
This is a blog about my 1996 Hummer HMC4(4 door hard top). I purchased my rig at Pitre Hummer on June 12th 2003. The truck had 40,817 miles on it at that time. Currently it has 86k miles.
